Discover the Power of Your Throat Chakra
Ever felt a knot in your thoat? Or has your voice gone hoarse from speaking too much? Then you have felt your throat chakra.
The throat chakra functions as the center of communication and is powered by the authentic expression of our inner truth. It allows us to effectively communicate our thoughts, ideas, and emotions, with a sense of purpose and personal integrity. The throat chakra of each individual creates a unique and distinct sound, that is unlike anyone else’s.
It is the fifth chakra and is associated with the color blue and the sky. The Sanskrit name is Vishuddha meaning "pure." When we genuinely express ourselves, we reveal our core nature.
The throat chakra physically manifests in the throat, neck, ears, and voice box. It deals with speaking up for oneself, as well as hearing and being heard by others.
If the throat chakra is underactive, one may be shy or afraid to speak up and unable to express themselves confidently. They may struggle to communicate their thoughts and get anxious, as their throat literally closes up.
Unfortunately, those who have a blocked throat chakra were likely criticized or unallowed to express themselves as children. Does the phrase "Children are to be seen and not heard," sound familiar?
When the throat chakra is overactive, one may find themselves interrupting, or not actively listening to others. They may become dishonest or express themselves in a self-righteous manner.
To have a balanced throat chakra, one would be both a good speaker and listener. They'd express themselves honestly and with ease. Their words add value and have an impact on the hearts and minds of others.
